When opening a PDF file on Adobe Acrobat, what do you do to type words into the lines?

The Wizard asked:

I am applying for a real estate loan and getting financial balance sheets and application sheets from my bank (U.S. Bank) online. I would like to type the statements for my application instead of write and I cannot get my keyboard to type in the lines.

Any ideas? This is simple. I just need to know what to do so I can type. I tried saving them and opening then typing them to avail. Thanks for any and all help.

You can’t without a full version of Acrobat (costs money). It sounds lke the creator did not set it up to be editable so all you can do is print it and fill it out by hand.
