schizzle asked:
I had a PDF file sent to me to edit (its been saved on hard drive). I can’t seem to make any changes. I don’t see an advanced editing too, and I tried to save it as a text document. When I did that, all that came up was a bunch of dates. HELP!

You need Adobe Acrobat(not Adobe Reader).
It’s very unlikely that you will be able to do this, but you can try by going to download.com and downloading the free Foxit .pdf editor. You just have the free Adobe reader now.
PDF files are not made to be edited. They are specifically made to make it very, very hard to change them.
The document has probably been locked against changes.
If you don’t have full Adobe Acrobat, it is unlikely that you will be able to add text.
Your best bet is to print the document, fill it out, and fax it to whoever wanted it filled out. You know, the old-fashioned way of filling out forms!
I work for a printing company, and we use a program called PitStop to edit PDFs. You could try downloading the trial program.
It’s really not the desired file format for editing. They are really only meant to be created for easy viewing by anyone since the reader is a free download.
PDF files can be “locked” to prevent any changes. Look under the Edit Tab > Settings for more info.
If it’s not locked, you need Adobe Acrobat ( $200), not Adobe Reader, to modify the actual file.
Instead, try the FoxIt Reader, free (there’s a Pay version, too) from:
