well, some acrobats are just totally focused on nothing but what they are looking at. some people have to get used to it.

You get used to it. When I first started speeding up my scratch spin it was hard for me to exit steadily. But now it's easier. It also helps to focus on something after the spin, like ballet dances do throughout their pirouettes. I honestly can't do any acrobatic tricks but I'm sure they adjust to it as well.

You flick your head round at the last moment. Concentrating on a spot before and finding it afterwards and concentrating also helps.

TRUST ME WE GET DIZZY!!!!! usually if youre watching competitive skating on tv they have been doing it so long they can cope. thats why the jumps are before the spins in most big programs like that. but if youre talking about little kids doing a couple of rotations they might not be going fast enough to get the full effects of spinning.just hope that helps

I agree with most of the other responders here. For dancers it's all about spotting, but in skating it's a combination of getting used to the sensation of spinning and pushing down into the ice and up through you're spine at the same time. If the skater controls the spin then they won't get dizzy if they're used to it, but if the skater starts the spin and then let's the momentum control them (instead of them controlling their momentum) they'll get dizzy even if they're used to spinning.

Ballet dancers "spot", but in skating you can't, you go too fast. You just get used to it. At first I used to get dizzy when I spun, but after a while you don't notice it anymore and you aren't affected by it.

Some people are naturally more susceptible to dizziness. You can become more tolerant to spinning induced dizziness through practice.

There is also a technique called spotting I think in which you focus on a single central point as you spin. When you're not watching the whole world spin around you the effects of dizziness are reduced.
